UCAN was formed by powerful patient advocates from different cancers coming together, recognising the need for a single cancer patient organisation to ensure the patient voice cannot be ignored. They believed this program would equip me with essential tools to grow as a patient advocate, and they supported my participation through a funded fellowship.
